Attention Town of Marshall Homeowners:
The Town of Marshall recently received funds from New York State for housing rehabilitation. The funds from this grant will be used for the rehabilitation of substandard, single-family, owner-occupied properties, which are located within the boundaries of the Town. Occupants must be low-to-moderate in income, as per the table below, and the property must be in need of repairs. Other requirements apply.
The type of rehabilitation work that can be performed under this Program includes, but is not limited to, the following: electric, plumbing, heating, roofing, insulation, masonry, windows, doors, painting, interior and exterior carpentry.

GREEN WASTE PICK UP
The Town of Marshall will be picking up green waste, outside the Village of Waterville, the last Monday of each month, April through October. Leaves, grass and flower clippings must be put in biodegradable bags. Residents who have green waste to be picked up should call the Town of Marshall Highway Garage at 315-841-8051 or 315-794-3852 and leave a message including your name and road you live on. If you have a tree or hedgerow removed, it is your responsibility to clean it up. No stumps or logs will be picked up, no exceptions. NOTE: There will be no green waste pick up on Monday, May27th, due to the holiday. Green waste will be picked up Tuesday, May 28th instead.

The Town of Marshall recently received funds from New York State for a housing rehabilitation program. The type of work to be performed may include windows, doors, roofing, carpentry, masonry, painting, insulation, plumbing, heating, electric, interior and exterior carpentry. Contractors that are interested in being placed on a Qualified Contractors List to perform the rehabilitation work should call or write the Town’s Consultant, Thoma Development Consultants, 34 Tompkins Street, Cortland, New York 13045, (607) 753-1433. References and insurance coverage are required.
The Town of Marshall encourages Minority and Woman Owned Businesses and Section 3 Businesses to participate in this program. The Town also encourages the participation of contractors certified to work with Lead Based Paint.
