SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING, JULY 6, 2011

A special meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Marshall, County of Oneida, State of New

York was held at the Town Hall 2651 State Rt. 12B, Deansboro, NY on 6th day of July 2011.

PRESENT: Nelson A. Blau Supervisor

Gary R. Ford Councilman

Susan McConnell Councilwoman

Sean McNamara Councilman

Steve Lollman Highway Superintendent

Robert Welch Deputy Highway Superintendent

Nancy A. Matteson Town Clerk

ABSENT: Eric Schachtler Councilman

Supervisor Blau called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Also in attendance Bernie Hughes from Gates and Cole. Chris Crolius and Mike from March

Associates came with revised plans for town barn.

Chris Crolius and Mike went over the revised plans with the changes that the town board

requested. The plans were shown on a pre-engineered building. The type and amount of

insulation needed for the new building was discussed. Sandwich panels are probably the best way

to go.

The next step would be to get a site plan going. Need to make sure the entrance for the electrical

is sufficient for barn, cold storage building and salt building. March Associates hope to have the

building out for bid by mid August. The bids will be award in mid September. It will probably

take twelve (12) weeks for engineering.

Councilman Ford worked up some figures in regard to financing the new equipment.

Al Young from NYMIR emailed Supervisor Blau that the slab where the old barn once was is

good. They did not take core samples. The Town Board would like core samples taken ASAP.

Bernie Hughes gave the Supervisor a check from NYMIR in the amount of $289,889.72 for the

building.

On a motion by Councilwoman McConnell, seconded by Councilman Ford the meeting was

adjourned at 9:20 P.M.

Nancy A. Matteson
