Body:

ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING TOWN OF MARSHALL JANUARY 7, 2015.

 

The annual organizational meeting for the Town of Marshall, 2651 State Route 12B, Deansboro, New York was held on January 7, 2015.

Present:          Morris Sturdevant     Supervisor

                        Susan McConnell       Councilwoman

                        Eric Schachtler           Councilman

                        Jack Buschmann        Councilman

                        Nancy Matteson        Deputy Town Clerk

Absent:           Dan Williams              Councilman

 

The meeting was called to order at 8:55 A.M. by Supervisor Sturdevant.

The Board went over the appointments that needed to be filled for the year 2015.

 

RESOLUTION #1

APPOINTMENTS

On a motion by Councilman Buschmann, seconded by Councilwoman McConnell the following resolution was Adopted:    

      Ayes: Buschmann, McConnell, Schachtler

      Nays: 0

RESOLVED That the Town of Marshall Board accept the appointed listed on the attached sheet.

 

RESOLUTION #2

WATER DISTRICT DIGGING

On a motion by Councilwoman McConnell, seconded by Councilman Buschmann the following resolution was adopted:

    Ayes:   Buschmann, McConnell, Schachtler

      Nays:   0

RESOLVED that the Supervisor may sign the contract between NYS and the Deansboro Water District giving them permission to dig by state roads.

 

RESOLUTION # 3

HARBOR ANIMALS

On a motion by Councilman Schachtler, seconded by Councilwoman McConnell the following resolution was adopted:   

   Ayes: Buschmann, McConnell, Schachtler

   Nays: 0

RESOLVED that the Town of Marshall will use the Steven Swan Humane Society to harbor animals.

 

RESOLUTION #4

GRANT

On a motion by Councilman Buschmann, seconded by Councilwoman McConnell the following resolution was Adopted:   

   Ayes:    Buschmann, McConnell, Schachtler

   Nays:   0

RESOLVED that the Supervisor may sign a contract with THOMA to start a grant process for Owner Occupied Rehabilitation Program.

 

Oneida County has $500,000.00 worth of grant money that is available for use by municipalities in the County.  The asking must be for at least $50,000.00.  This needs further discussion.

 

On a motion by Councilman Buschmann, seconded by Councilman Schachtler the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 A. M.
